Thucy is thinking
0sRight, the user makes and sells scented candles online and also runs small in-person workshops. I need to map that to the correct UK SIC 2007 condensed-list codes, and I'm only allowed up to four. The candle-making itself is manufacturing. On the condensed list that lands under 32990, "Other manufacturing not elsewhere classified." That covers producing physical goods that don't fit a more specific category, which candles do not. Selling those candles online is a separate activity from making them. Retail via the internet has its own code, 47910, "Retail sale via mail order houses or via internet." I should keep this distinct from the manufacturing code so the register reflects both what they make and how they sell it. The workshops are education. There's no code for "candle workshops" specifically, so the right condensed-list match is 85590, "Other education not elsewhere classified," which is the catch-all for tutoring, short courses, and workshops that aren't standard schooling. I should avoid the vague catch-alls like 82990 unless nothing fits, and these three fit cleanly, so I won't reach for them. First code should be the principal activity. Making the candles is the core of the business, so 32990 goes first, then the online retail, then the workshops. That's three codes, under the four-code limit, each tied to something the user actually said. I'll present them with a one-line reason each and let the user confirm or edit, since the SIC codes are their choice to attest to, not mine to finalise. Next I need directors, shareholders and the statement of capital, then I can work out who counts as a person with significant control from the share split. The user holds the majority, so on the "more than 25% of shares" test they will be a PSC, and every director and PSC has to verify their identity before this can be filed at Companies House.
