Refund & cancellation
Last updated 2 August 2026
The purpose of this policy is to provide a simple summary of our terms relating to refunds and cancellation. All clauses referred to here are set out in full in our Terms and Conditions, which you should read in full. Definitions have the same meaning as in those Terms.
When you can cancel and obtain a refund
- Company formation service (clause 22). You may cancel by written notice received within 14 calendar days of purchase. You will be entitled to a refund of a reasonable proportion of the fee, taking into account work already done, provided your application has not been submitted to Companies House.
- Additional services. You may cancel an additional service by written notice received within 14 calendar days of purchase, and will be entitled to a refund provided we have not started work on it.
- Force majeure (clause 28). Where a force majeure event lasts more than 14 Working Days, either party may cancel the affected Services, and we will refund you for any Services paid for but not provided.
When you can cancel without a refund
- Renewable services (clause 21). You may cancel a renewable service before its renewal date by written notice, but you will not be entitled to a refund of fees already paid for the current period.
When we can cancel and issue a refund
- Where we reject, refuse, or cancel an order (clause 17), or cancel due to a serious pricing error, we will refund the fees you have paid for that order.
When we can cancel without a refund
- Failure to provide ID or compliance information (clause 16). We may cancel any Services without notice if you do not provide the identity, address, or KYC information we request, and you will not be entitled to a refund.
- Application already submitted (clause 18). You are not entitled to a refund for the company formation service once the application has been submitted to Companies House, even if the application is rejected.
- Unresolved missing information (clause 18.2). If we cannot submit your application because information is missing or incorrect and this is not resolved within 7 calendar days of your order, no refund is due.
How to send a cancellation notice
Cancellation notices must be in writing (which includes email) and in English. Send them by email to hello@thucy.co.uk or by post to [registered office address]. Please read the notices clause in our Terms for details of when a notice is deemed received.
